Ambassador of the Quarter: Richard Boisvert

007_Boisvert_Richard_1-18-18webRichard Boisvert is the Chamber’s outstanding Ambassador of the Quarter! Four times a year, the Chamber honors volunteers for their superior service. After joining the Ambassador team in late 2016, Richard wasted no time and jumped right in to familiarized himself with Chamber resources, making him an excellent member adviser. This is very similar to what he does professionally as a customer-focused sales & customer service representative in the information technology industry.

Richard builds strong customer partnerships with CIO Technology Solutions by listening, guiding, and quickly solving customer challenges through organizational support with a solution-centric approach. Richard started his career with Digital Equipment Corporation, a multinational computing mainframe and systems manufacturer, then rapidly transitioning into imaging, print management, and data storage systems.

Ambassador volunteers are vital to the Chamber’s mission of building business success in our community. Typically, they are the first contacts new members make when joining the Chamber. And we all know the importance of a positive first impression!

Richard’s outgoing personality and ‘never met a stranger attitude’ builds a welcoming environment for new members to quickly engage through Chamber activities. Richard hails from New Hampshire but made Tampa Bay his home in 1993. Richard lives in Palm Harbor with his wife Julia their 2 children. Congratulations, Richard, on a job well done!

Ambassador of the Quarter: Jonathan Browy

Browy - SynovusCongratulations to Jonathan Browy, a commercial banker with Synovus Bank, for being our Ambassador of the Quarter!  Jonathan has been a commercial banker for over 20 years. He returned to the Tampa Bay area in 2000, after five years in New York. “I grew up mostly in St. Pete, and I had always wanted to return to the area to raise a family,” he said.

At Synovus, Jonathan works with business owners and C-level executives, focusing on those with larger and more complex banking needs. Besides being an Ambassador, he serves on the board of SPCA Tampa Bay and is the Advisory Board Chairperson for the YMCA’s Central City branch.  This and having two active children keep Jonathan and his wife Marion always on the go.

Jonathan has been a Chamber Ambassador for several years. “I became an Ambassador in order to connect with businesses that find value in their Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce membership,” he said. While this has occasionally led to business opportunities for Jonathan, he feels that it’s much more about helping companies leverage all of their Chamber benefits. “If I can assist a member in developing a new relationship through a Chamber networking event, or refer them to a skill-building program like our Competitive Edge Series, then I feel that I’ve helped our business community.”
