Cross Bay Ferry releases new Ridership Numbers

The ferry service that runs between Tampa and St. Petersburg had a record 6,000 passengers for the month of February. The Cross-Bay Ferry is scheduled to run from November 2016 through April 2017 to test community interest for water transit.

This week in Tallahassee:

This week was relatively quiet in Tallahassee as most legislators were home in their districts to meet with constituents and prepare for the 2017 Legislative Session, which begins next Tuesday.

During Session, the Chamber will update members on the issues that are on the 2017 Legislative Agenda.

As things are changing in Tallahassee, Washington D.C. and here in Hillsborough County,  the Tampa Chamber is watching those issues that are important to the community and your business. Here is some of what we are watching:

  • Possible changes to the Affordable Health Care Act
  • Possible changes with the relations between the U.S. and Cuba
  • Appropriations request rule changes in Tallahassee
  • Medical Marijuana and what that means to Tampa Bay
  • Workers’ Comp. Rate
  • Premium Transit Study
