Port Tampa Bay announces it will host a forum at Cruise Terminal 2 that will bring together statewide port and community stakeholders to discuss the implications of the recently-passed WRRDA legislation that will dramatically improve U.S. ports’ ability to develop key projects and therefore continue to be competitive in global trade. Of special note, attendees and media will be able to engage with multiple key members of the U.S. House Transportation and Infrastructure (T&I) Committee on the benefits of the historic, bipartisan legislation signed into law by President Obama.

New Hires & Promotions

Michael English (foward)The Dikman Company announced Wednesday, August 20, Michael English joining their team. He joins the Dikman Company to provide strategic and land use perspective to the company’s real estate activities. Mr. English, a leading urban planner in the Tampa Bay area since 1985, has also held his real estate license since 1982.  He is also a corporate leader at BCC Engineering, Inc., a Miami-based leader in transportation engineering, in community planning and redevelopment.  Mr. English, trained as an applied anthropologist and city planner, offers an extensive background in urban redevelopment, urban design, transit planning, and sustainable growth planning. His career also includes real estate development as a developer, city planning, and forensic planning.


Carlton Fields Jorden Burt is pleased to announce that Caycee D. Hampton has joined the firm in Tampa as an associate. Hampton is a member of the firm’s Health Care practice group. Her practice focuses on professional liability defense and business litigation within the healthcare industry with a special emphasis on the defense of hospitals, physicians, and ancillary providers. Prior to joining the firm, Hampton served as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Virginia M.H. Covington of the United States District Court, Middle District of Florida. She has also served as a summer associate at HunterMaclean and as a judicial extern to the Honorable Steven D. Merryday of the United States District Court, Middle District of Florida. Hampton is a member of The Florida Bar. She holds a J.D., cum laude, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and a B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of Florida.
